Brotherly Love
This was his “pondering” pose. This is my little brother. We got to hang out all day on Saturday. Epic win. For my birthday back in April he said he’d take me to Eumundi Markets. I swear to god, he always gets me the absolute coolest presents and this time he decided to show me where he finds them (plus let me pick whatever I liked – hell yeah!). 4 months later…and we finally both had a Saturday free (even though he worked the graveyard shift at the casino the
How To Talk To The Boys Of Summer
So…I’m pretty sure I’m going to wear this outfit every day, forever. Only, I’m not wearing it right now. So,then, I guess I’ll wear it a lot alright? OK. This is what I rocked at Robba & Skentie’s engagement party on Saturday night. The floral dress I had in mind didn’t work out so I spent hours at Chermside only to wear something I already owned. Which is cool. You know I actually planned this outfit way back when we lived at the old apartment. One night I was feeling particularly
Exciting News Everyone!
Did you read that title in Professor Farnsworth’s voice? Because I totally heard it in my head that way as I wrote it. Alright. Exciting things are afoot. 3 exciting things actually. Let me lay them on you. Exciting Thing Number One: I drove to the shopping centre on the weekend! OK, I understand this is only exciting in context. The context being that I am currently learning to drive and this is the first time in my life that I’ve actually driven to the store. This is exciting. This also
On A Saturday Morning
These pictures are from last weekend. We had breakfast at Pearl Cafe in Woolloongabba. The 20 minute wait for a table was worth it. The food was incredible! And with the company we had – I’d be happy to wait all morning. I mean, not really. I was pretty hungry. And borderline grumpy due to said hunger. But it was awesome hanging out with the dudes. Strolling around in the Winter sun. Looking at bikes and bee rings and um, something else that starts with “B” that would tie that
Scout’s Honour
I pass this little Scout area whenever I walk through the park on my way to the train station. But I’ve never explored it. It was actually kinda scary! Definitely not used for wholesome Scout-like activities anymore. Pretty sure there isn’t a patch for discarding empty wine bottles in the long grass. Though, that would make for a pretty cool image. On the patch that is. I’m quite aware of what it looks like in action. I mean, I’ve seen it. I haven’t actually done it. I…was going to go into
All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go
Don’t you hate it when you get your make up just right and your hair works…and then you don’t end up going out like you were supposed to? I mean, don’t you hate it when you were going to see a band with friends and then one by one they pull out and instead you curl up on the couch and watch a movie? Nah…me neither. Head scarf: Diva
Ick & Ew
Oh gosh, being sick is the pits. To make myself feel a little better/human, I got dressed in an outfit I really liked/felt comfortable in and headed to the store for a short bout of last minute shopping for my girls (niece 4, cousin 9) whose birthday’s are one day apart. I love this blue dress that I scored in Sydney. And the brown one too. I have so many ideas for them but funny enough, I’ve not worn them as often as I thought. Mostly I think it’s because
The Difference A Little Light Makes
It really is amazing, the difference a little light makes (as The Man remarked on Saturday, looking at these pictures). I didn’t want to come back inside! We got up at 5:50 am to watch the replay of the Dogs game on Saturday morning. I always like being up early on the weekend. I feel like I get to squeeze the most out of the time off that way. Once the game was over (victory!) we headed to Chermside to run some errands and I’m not in the least ashamed
Versus
Oh wow, what a great night Saturday was. Let me break it on down for you. Good friends of ours are packing up and leaving town. So we saw them off in a style truly befitting to them. How is this the best shot I got of me in a limo? We all took a limo to The Jube. Now, for those of you unlucky enough not to be familiar with The Jube, this whole act is like wearing Louboutins to a bowling alley. It was fantastic. But the kicker
I’m On A Boat
Check me out. I’m on a boat. We took a trip across the Brisbane River to La Quinta (Smokey Margaritas!) a few weeks back to celebrate my birthday. The views were just gorgeous because we hit the water just as the sun was going down. I’ve lived here for years now and it’s a sight that I don’t enjoy often enough. Perhaps next time I will take a trip on something a little slower, so I can take more in. Something like…this pirate ship that happened to be docked right
