I think these outfit pictures win the prize for “Most Remote Location”. (Wanna see the winner for “Highest Location”? Click here.)
I believe that’s Hook Island in the background
A little place called Langford Spit, 2 nautical miles south of Hayman Island.
If you look out to the East you’ll see nothing for miles until you hit Vanuatu. Pretty sure you can’t see Vanuatu from Langford Spit with the naked eye. At least, I definitely couldn’t. But then I find it hard to read the scoreboard when we’re watching a football game on TV.
Anyway, these photos were taken during what’s called a “Sunset Indulgence” experience. They pack you a little picnic of champagne, cheese, fruit, and crackers, spirit you away across the water and leave you to watch the sunset for an hour and a half. Absolutely gorgeous.
Because some people (me) find it hard to sit still and watch the sun go down incrementally over the course of 90 minutes…
…And because some people (also me) needed to pee from the moment we arrived and there are no bathrooms on the spit and sitting still was torture – we took to exploring the sand and the ocean.
So much neat stuff!
More neat stuff!
Aw, the neatest stuff of all.
