French Onion

May 6th, 2010 by Selise

There was a slight snafu with alarms this morning that set us back half an hour. No wonder I felt so well rested when I got up. Good thing I had this outfit planned the night before. Actually it was more like a few weeks before. I pulled this skirt out when I did the clothes change over a couple of weeks back. I bought it just before our wedding and rarely wear it. I’ve come to learn that a natural waist skirt just doesn’t look that great on me. I thought I’d give it a shot though because this blog has definitely encouraged me to wear things that I usually wouldn’t.

Overall I like it. I would have preferred a crew neck or boat neck striped top but alarmingly, this is the only striped top I have aside from my mustard one. As the day has gone by at work I’ve realised just how low cut it really is. Oopsie.

I know this whole look isn’t the most flattering but it is really comfortable. Mostly. I’ve found that blazers give me a bit of a headache what with the pressure of the collar pushing against my neck. Has anyone else found this? I know I might sound lame but my family is pretty good at getting epic headaches and little things like that set it off. Like raw onion? Oh man, forget about it!
